Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, is celebrated every year on 26 November in India. This day commemorates the adoption of the Indian Constitution by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949.Residence of   Kharghar  organized a meaningful Constitution Day event in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. The Preamble reading was conducted near the iconic Utsav Chowk, a prominent landmark known for its Greek-Roman architectural style and vibrant community gatherings.

Indian Constitution Day  Walk

In a vibrant display of unity and cultural diversity, residents of Kharghar came together to mark Indian Constitution Day with a spirited Walk for Sanvidhan promoting its core values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

Members from various state cultural associations, representing regions such as Odisha, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, actively participated in the event

Classical Dance Performance at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Birth Anniversary Celebration

The event took place at the Gokhale School playground in Sector-12, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, bringing the community together in tribute.

A highlight of the program was a graceful classical dance performance by Swara Thawre, adding a cultural and artistic touch to the remembrance of Babasaheb Ambedkar’s legacy.

Mile sur mera tumhara

Mile sur mera tumhara, echoing sweet and clear, Kharghar residents’ groups sang with love and cheer. On the 75th Constitutional Day’s sacred celebration, Harmony in every voice became the perfect presentation. From tiny tots to elders, together hand in hand, They sang the song of unity across our beloved land. Brotherhood and fraternity in every note they gave, One India, one heart, one future bright and brave.

Short Drama on Mahad Satyagraha

Students performed a poignant short drama depicting the historic Mahad Satyagraha (also known as Chavdar Tale Satyagraha).

The play symbolized the non-violent struggle for equality, highlighting Dr. Ambedkar’s leadership in challenging caste-based discrimination and promoting access to the Chavdar Tank for all.

Group Dance Performance

Students enthralled the audience with a vibrant group dance performed to the devotional Marathi Buddhist song “Pimplachya Panavar Pahile Chitra Gautamache”, which beautifully signifies a prayer to Lord Buddha, evoking the first glimpse of Gautama Buddha’s image on a pimple (bodhi) leaf. This heartfelt performance was part of the Dhamm Sandhya program— organized by   (DBAVMK).

Another Classical Dance Performance

Miss Anisha Bansod and Miss Samiksha Ringnekar delivered a captivating classical dance duet, showcasing graceful movements and expressive artistry during the program.

Their performance added a profound spiritual and artistic dimension to the Dhamm Sandhya event organized by DBAVMK 

Rajasthani Folk Dance

Harshal and Harshita Gajbhiye, along with another young performer, presented an energetic Rajasthani folk dance .The vibrant performance was beautifully choreographed by the dancers themselves, showcasing traditional steps and colorful expressions with great skill. Their nice performance was highly appreciated by the audience.

Agartala Tribal Dance

Another captivating attraction of the lively Agartala tribal dance performed by the students.The vibrant performance was beautifully choreographed by the dancers themselves, showcasing authentic traditional steps and colorful expressions with remarkable skill.

 

DUS Ladies Performance

The ladies of Dhamma Upasika Sangh, Kharghar, took a keen interest and performed a spirited dance to the song “Pahaa Pahaa Majuda Mazya Bhimravacha Mada, program, which was highly appreciated by all. Their graceful movements and enthusiastic energy brought the powerful lyrics to life, inspiring the audience. The performance added vibrant joy to the evening

Energetic Koli dance

The children presented an energetic Koli dance performance at the Dhamm Sandhya program, showcasing traditional steps with enthusiasm and grace. The Koli dance, a vibrant tradition of the Maharashtrian Koli community from the Mumbai region, celebrating the fisherfolk heritage with rhythmic movements and colorful attire.

A Vandana to lord Buddha

The program was gracefully inaugurated with Vandana, a prayer to Lord Buddha, beautifully rendered by Mrs. Madhuri Bhange, Mrs. Rita Mate, and Mrs. Rupali Jadhav Their devotional performance set a serene and spiritual tone for the evening.

The chief guest, Mr. S.S. Khandare (IPS), was warmly welcomed, adding prestige and inspiration to the  gathering.

The program commenced gracefully with an invocation (Vandana), followed by a vibrant display of cultural dances and songs in Punjabi, Telugu, Japanese, Marathi, and Hindi languages. The Bhim Geet was beautifully rendered by the “We The People” team, featuring Mr. Gavai Saheb, Mr. Jolly More, Maharashtra-Shahira Mrs. Seem Patil. The Dhamma Pahat and Dhamma Sandhya gathering was organized by DBAVMK.

The program was gracefully inaugurated with Vandana, a prayer to Lord Buddha, beautifully rendered by  Their devotional performance set a serene and spiritual tone for the evening. The vibrant performance was beautifully choreographed by the dancers themselves, showcasing traditional steps and colorful expressions with great skill.

 

Patriotic song performance

Miss Anisha Bansod and Miss Ayushi Ringnekar delivered a captivating Patriotic dance  showcasing graceful movements and expressive artistry during the program.

Their performance added a profound patriotic  and artistic dimension to the Dhamm Sandhya event organized by DBAVMK 

 

“PMS Performance

The highlight of the evening was the soul-stirring performance by Prabhuddha Mahila Sangh, Kharghar, as they rendered the sacred vandana “Namo tassa bhagavato arahato samma-sambuddhassa.” with deep devotion and harmony.

Their melodious chanting filled the venue with tranquility and reverence, captivating the audience.

 

Rajastani Zoomar Dance

The vibrant performance Rajasthani Folk Zoomer was beautifully choreographed by the dancers themselves, showcasing traditional steps and colorful expressions with great skill. Their nice performance was highly appreciated by the audience.

Dhamm pahat Fadke garden

Dhamma Pahat on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s birth anniversary was joyously celebrated at Fadke Garden, Kharghar. The soulful performance was presented by singer Vinod Vidhyagar and his talented team. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the Bhim Geet and Buddha Geet program, appreciating it with heartfelt joy and thunderous applause.
