The 2018 Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti celebration opened in a distinctive way with a model exhibition that honored Mr. Bhimrao Ambedkar as the special guest, joined by Dr. Sudhakar Shinde (I.R.S.), the Municipal Commissioner of Panvel. In 2019, Mr. S.S. Khandare, Inspector General, formally inaugurated a book exhibition as part of the Jayanti programme and delivered an inspiring and guiding speech to the gathering. Gurdwara Kharghar Committee President Sardar Singh also highlighted the legendary contributions of Dr. Ambedkar to society.
Stunning models brought to life the different phases of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s life story, beginning at his birthplace in Mhow. These displays highlighted major achievements.
The program included lively cultural acts like Dhamma Pahat, songs, plays, Drawing compitations and dances performed by children and women.

To commemorate Sanvidhan Day, DBAVMK organized a unifying celebration in Kharghar, bringing together all local organizations for a meaningful event. Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, and Christian communities joined hands, showcasing harmony and shared respect for India’s Constitution. The celebration featured a vibrant rally starting at Utsav Chowk, passing through Sectors 7, 12, and 20, and concluding at Shilp Chowk. Participants carried slogan banners, promoting constitutional values and unity. The event highlighting the Constitution’s significance in fostering equality and justice. This inclusive initiative strengthened community ties and reinforced Kharghar’s commitment to constitutional ideals.
DBAVMK organized a vibrant drawing competition to nurture children’s creativity. Young artists aged 3 to 16 eagerly participated in large numbers. Guiding them was eminent artiest Mr. Sanjeev Sonpimpare, who earned his Bachelor’s in Painting from Sir J.J. School of Art in 1993. He later completed a UNESCO-Aschberg Residency at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin, in 2000. Certificates were distributed to all participants by Mr. Sonpimpare with great enthusiasm. Prizes were awarded to the winners, who beamed with pride. The ceremony celebrated young talent and inspired future artists.

























DBAVMK launched Kharghar’s first free book fair, honoring Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy. All were invited to donate books and take any title absolutely free. Venues buzzed at Sector-7 near Hiranandani and Gokhale School, Sector-12 Kharghar. Children explored new stories; seniors shared wisdom through cherished classics. This initiative embodied Dr. Ambedkar’s thought: Learning is the only way to success in life. Generations connected, fostering equality and a love for reading. DBAVMK ignited a culture of knowledge-sharing and empowerment. Kharghar now thrives with inspired minds, ready to rise through education.
The Entrepreneur Summit, in collaboration with Buddhist Udhyog Jagat, delved into key topics such as finance, legal aspects, and business planning to empower aspiring entrepreneurs. Distinguished guests Dr. Shirsagar and Dr. Dongargaonkar shared their expertise, . The event featured insightful sessions by Mr. Sanjay Shirsagar on practical business strategies, Ms. Purva Hire on innovative approaches, financial counselor Mr. Jadhav on funding and investment, and CA Mr. Satish Ramteke on compliance and taxation.. This summit reinforced Kharghar’s commitment to fostering a vibrant startup ecosystem through inclusive, knowledge-driven initiatives.

Dr. Chandrakant Gaikwad, along with his dedicated colleagues and the DBAVMK team, organized a compassionate medical camp. The camp was solemnly inaugurated by Mr. S.S. Khandare (IPS), extending hope to the underprivileged in need. Impoverished citizens flocked to receive free medical examinations and essential treatments with heartfelt gratitude. Dr. Sucheta Rajbhoj and Dr. Chitra exemplified selfless service to mankind, as hundreds availed these facilities with great enthusiasm.
Dhammachakra Pravartan Diwas was celebrated at Thagahth Bouddha Maha Vihar in Kharghar. The distinguished guests were Dr. Ashok Khade, Managing Director of DAS Offshore; Dr. Sanjay Jabhulkar, Senior Scientist at BARC; and Mrs. Monali Janbhandhu, award winner of Mrs. West India and Mrs. Fitness India. The distinguished guests congratulated the gathering and addressed the public. Their speeches were highly inspirational, especially those delivered by Dr. Ashok Khade and Dr. Jabhulkar.
On this auspicious occasion, the Tathagat Souvenir was also published. The editorial team comprised Mr. Siddharth Meshram, Mr. Chandrakant Tambe, Mr. Bhimrao Zodape, Professor Milind Kartad, and Mr. Eknath Dhangare.

















DBAVMK and Yu-Zen Consultancy partnered to organize Japanese language sessions in Kharghar, motivating graduate students to pursue career opportunities and encouraging undergraduates to deepen their language studies. Mr. Khaire, founder of Yu-Zen Consultancy, delivered an inspiring motivational speech to the students. The sessions aimed to enhance language skills and open doors to global job prospects. This collaboration fostered enthusiasm for learning among participants. It highlighted the importance of cultural and professional growth through language education.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic declaration and subsequent lockdown, DBAVMK initiated a food distribution drive in Kharghar. They distributed 211 meal packages to support migrants, laborers, and small vendors facing hardships. This effort provided essential relief to vulnerable families in Kharghar City. DBAVMK’s initiative demonstrated compassion and community solidarity during a challenging time. The program addressed immediate food needs for those impacted by the lockdown. It strengthened the spirit of unity and support in the region.
